In diesem Band hat der Kölner Musikhochschullehrer Robert Winn eine Sammlung von 133 Melodien zusammengestellt, die Flötisten anspornen und dazu ermuntern soll, auch die für andere Instrumente komponierte Musik sowie verschiedene Stile anzuhören und zu spielen.

Aus dem Repertoire für Streicher, Klavier oder Gesang, aus Sinfonischer Musik, Kammermusik, Sololiteratur und Opern hat er ein Repertoire zusammengestellt, das einen Beitrag dazu leisten will, einige Elemente zu entdecken, die für die Entwicklung der interpretatorischen Fähigkeiten und den Flötenklang unerlässlich sind.

Die Ideen in dieser Ausgabe sind das Ergebnis seiner Erfahrungen als Flötist in bedeutenden internationalen Sinfonieorchestern und Kammermusik-Ensembles sowie als Studiomusiker.
